Bernburg – Beware of Clemens N. (26)! The drug-addicted offender escaped from the correctional facility in Bernburg (Saxony-Anhalt) and has been on the run ever since. The police are looking for the 26-year-old nationwide. Because he could be anywhere by now. The authorities warn: “His danger prognosis from the responsible institution is considered high.”
Accordingly, Clemens N. was on Thursday with a nurse in a park area of the clinic and was able to climb over a wall and break out.
Since then, the police have been looking for the fugitive with increased forces – so far without success. He has been serving a prison sentence since May 2020 for armed drug trafficking. The suspect is 1.95 meters tall and weighs around 80 kilograms. He has brown, short hair and brown eyes. At the time of his disappearance, he was wearing a red-brown sweatshirt, blue jeans and white trousers.
Police warn: Do not speak to the fugitive!
Anyone who sees the man should inform the police immediately and not speak to him. “It is requested not to approach the person independently,” said a spokesman.
“The Bernburg correctional facility is a facility of the state of Saxony-Anhalt, in which addicts who have committed crimes are treated. An official briefing usually only takes place if the competent court can identify a good prognosis of success. About 200 patients are currently accommodated there.“
“The facility is characterized by high security standards, which can be seen externally, for example on window bars and surveillance cameras,” says the prison’s website.
